Memang begitu banyak beberapa band di Dunia ini yang menggunakan Nama AEON ini, sebuah nama yang sangat mengandung arti tentang " Kehidupan " manusia agar tidak lupa akan segala Dramatika-nya, Meskipun aeon istilah dapat digunakan dalam referensi untuk periode satu miliar tahun (terutama dalam geologi, kosmologi atau astronomi), lebih penggunaan umum adalah untuk setiap periode panjang, tidak terbatas,. Aeon juga dapat merujuk pada empat aeon pada Skala Waktu Geologi yang membentuk sejarah Bumi, yang Proterozoikum Hadean, Arkean,, dan Fanerozoikum aeon saat ini. well meskipun memang banyak yang menggunakan nama Aeon, tapi gw masih menaruh respect buat Aeon asal Östersund, Swedia yang eksis sejak tahun 1999 dan merupakan Reinkarnasi band sebelumnya, Defaced Creation. tetap mengusung Konsep Death Metal dengan Karakteris sounding Swedish Sound yang kental, nama band ini langsung melejit lewat album pertama mereka " Bleeding the False " tahun 2005 via Unique Leader Records setelah Ep " Dark Order " tahun 2001 lebih dulu melanglang buana dikancah Extreme Metal Internasional hingga menarik minat Label Paling Brutal sejagad metal ini tertarik untuk merekrut Band ini. meskipun hanya mendapat kontrak 1 album di UL, tapi karir band ini tetap bernasib baik aja setelah mereka dipinang oleh Label Mapan Metal Blade Records sampai album terbaru ini. tentunya kalian masih begitu mengingat kegaharan album pertama mereka " Bleeding The False " khan ?, Aeon sepertinya tetap idealis dengan karakter yang mereka usung, perpaduan mematikan antara Deicide, Cannibal Corpse dengan Entombed namun masih tidak meragukan intensitas powerfully blastbeat grinding Suffocation the Vein ! dan masih membawa nuansa album sebelumnya " Path of Fire " Tahun 2010, Aeon tetap mengusung Konsional Death Metal Hitam dan cepat ! There goes my face....completely melted off, why? Because this is probably Aeon's best, they've really reached their peak and the line-up is just superb. The raw and intense vocals, the dirty and distorted guitars and bass and then of course the most killer drum tracks, this is a metal head's heaven! Things may sound the same to some listeners which is ok, the lyrical themes about anti-religion and how much Aeons hates priests who molest children are the same, but then again that's what makes this band good. 3 member asli Aeon, Gitaris Zeb Nilsson, Drummer Arttu Malkki dan Vokalis Tommy Dahlström adalah motor kuat Aeon hingga detik ini. Penggarapan materinya di Empire Studio, Östersund, Swedia selama bulan Juni 2012 adalah kerjasama pertama bersama dengan Produser dan enjiner Ronnie Björnström yang merupakan gitaris band Bone Gnawer dan Taedeat sudah banyak membuat beberapa Masterpiece band2 dekade millenium ini dan dibantu oleh 2 Enjiner, Marcus Edvardsson yang juga bassis Aeon Saat ini bersama Gitaris Daniel Dlimi masih ingin memberikan sentuhan asli Aeon dibeberapa album sebelumnya. " Still They Pray " menjadi tumbal pertama Aeon di Album Gress ini. masih tetap menendang Konsepsional Death Metal mereka yang masih tetep langsung mengingatkan gw dengan ma Deicide, apalagi gaya Pattern Vokill Tommy Dahlström memang Glen Benton Abis !, ditunjang pula dengan beberapa Back Scream-nya pula, In The Vein Deicide Banget ! sementara Duet Gitaris Zeb Nilsson dan Daniel Dlimi tetap memberikan sentuhan Swedish Sound yang Kental banget. Guitars were brilliant, not as great as the drums but the tracks for guitars had my vote. They sounded dirty, slow and beautiful, some listeners complain about this (from the people I talk to) and they should just quit their bitching, this is what death metal is supposed to sound like. The lead was the best of them all quite frankly, solos were fucking amazing and stunning, Forgiveness Denied had the best solo without a doubt. part awal Track " The Glowing Hate " lumayan Monumental banget gaya Epic-nya, sekali lagi Nuansa Deicide masih tetap terus Gw tangkap disini. As always, the guitar work is a driving tour-de-force. Never too linear and never too ornate, Daniel Dlimi and Zeb Nilsson's prowess is absorbed in waves of ceaseless energy. Whether it's a finger-slitting riff or a nosebleed-inducing solo, the pair shred effortlessly from start to finish in an exasperating spiral of distortion. Kepiawaian Drummer Arttu Malkki memang masih belum tergantikan karakteristik-nya walau sempat formasi Aeon ini memakai Power Drummer Nils Fjellström, Spirit Aeon bagi kebanyakan kalangan masih tertumpu pada sosok Arttu Malkki. dari 15 track yang ditawarkan disini, Aeon menyuguhkan 4 Instrumental didalamnya ( " The Voice of the Accuser, Neptune the Mystic, Passage to Hell dan Aftermath " ) untuk menambah sentuhan yang begitu Epic ! meskipun tidak ada yang terlalu istimewa disini, Gw masih memegang Karisma Aeon sendiri sebagai salah satu band populer dari Swedia Scene yang namanya ga bisa dipisahkan jauh dari Karakteristik Deicide yang super kental didalamnya, sehingga buat fans Deicide yang mulai kurang menggemari lagu2 baru Deicide Era Ralph Santola, gw rekomendasikan banget untuk lebih menikmati Sajian Aeon ini. apalagi Artwork Kover Necrolord, illustrious graphic artist terkenal yang sudah menyumbangkan karya2nya dibanyak artwork band selain Masih aktif segabai Gitaris band Diabolique dan The Great Deceiver, memberi sentuhan Instrimewa Imej Album ini terlihat semakin menarik. Exactly as expected, Aeon growl and blast their way through 11 tracks of groove laden death metal at the expense of your eardrums and your respect for religion. Its brutal, fast and heavy, there’s whizzing solos, technical crunchy bits, Perhaps I am being a bit harsh, because I happen to listen to this CD now and again. The mish-mashing of influences, rather than clashing horribly, actually works on this album, and Aeon are clearly able musicians with enough drive and delivery to stop my attention from wandering entirely, but rarely is my imagination captured with the end result, unfortunately. Have a listen, check it out, you will almost definitely find something you like, and if you have money to burn there’s no reason why you shouldn’t own this. But don’t expect to be listening to this over and over again, because ‘Path of Fire’ will quickly work its way to your shelf and, most likely, stay there for quite some time.
