WARNING: This is one of the very few GOOD albums they ever put out. The Warning was the album with which Queensrÿche introduced themselves to the metal scene. Being a typical debut compared to their later work, it’s obvious that this album contains many influences from popular bands at that time such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, yet Queensrÿche manages to distinct themselves from those bands at the same time. Given that this album is probably the one that resembles the standard 80s metal the most of all Rÿche releases, this doesn’t make it one of the best, but certainly one worth checking out. Yeaahhhh !!! Sekali lagi " The Warning " memang pantas menjadi Masterpiece Klasik Heavy/Power/Progressive Metal asal Bellevue, Washington Amrik ini, walau debut pertama Ep " Queensrÿche " Cukup dinikmati oleh banyak media sebagai Debutan pertama Klasik terbaik, namun karena bagi Gw, materi " The Warning " lebih memiliki Konsep materi yang Matang dan lebih mempunyai Kualitas Rekaman lebih baik lagi, Boleh banget dong album full pertama ini teteap Warning banget bagi fans Queensrÿche. dan betapa Gw inget banget pertama kali mendengar materi keren ini, gw masih kecil banget Coy ! , masih duduk di bangku kelas 3 atau 4 SD an deh, dimana era tersebut sangat Primitif banget bagi Gw untuk mengenal pertama kali Produk rekaman musik hahahahaha, dan lagu paling Spektakuler dan memorable bagi gw dari album pertama ini adalah " Take Hold of the Flame ", yang Gw liat di video VHS kompilasi " Hard N Heavy ", yang ma Almarhum abang Gw Pinjam dari sebuah Rental Video VHS, dan karena saking suka dengan Konten band didalamnya, yang waktu itu gw pertama kali liat video Klasik Klip-nya Iron Maiden " The Trooper ", Lita Ford, dan gw lupa lainnya hahahaha, yang paling memorable selain Iron Maiden ya tentunya " Take Hold of the Flame " Queensrÿche ini hehehe, dan bayangkan saja kalo Album pertama " The Warning " di rilis tahun 1984, dimana saat itu Gw masih belum sekolah, coz 1985 Gw baru TK nol Kecil wkwkwkwkwk ... namun kedasyatan Kualitas rekaman album ini memang pantas menjadi Masterpiece Klasik terbaik Queensrÿche sepanjang masa banget !! terbentuk sejak tahun 1981 dengan nama pertama sebagai The Mob, oleh formasi Gitaris Chris DeGarmo dan Michael Wilton, bassis Eddie Jackson dan Drummer Scott Rockenfield. sementara Vokalis Geoff Tate saat penggarapan materi Ep Pertama " Queensrÿche " belum resmi bergabung secara permanen dengan band ini, Geoff masih menjadi Vokalis band lokal bernama Myth, sehingga keterlibatan geoff di Ep pertama tersebut hanya pada proses Rekaman materi saja, dan setelah Ep itu dirilis, band Myth-nya Geoff Bubar jalan sehingga Geoff Tate menjadi Vokalis permanen di tubuh Queensrÿche setelah itu. Album full ini menggandeng Produser James Guthrie yang sebelumnya menjadi produser beberapa single dari legendaris band Judas Priest ini memang Sukses mengantar Queensrÿche menjadi band yang diperhitungkan pada era tersebut scene Musik cadas Internasional lebih didominasi oleh genre musik Heavy metal dan Hardrock. menjadi paling fantastis dan memorable pada era tersebut juga, kualitas rekaman yang terdengar bagus dan modern menjadikan album " The Warning " tetap Memorable Karakteristik musiknya hingga saat ini. As esoteric as the distinction between blue- and white-collar USPM may seem to some, many differences are immediately obvious; just put on a good example of the former with one being gruff, aggressive, and primal, while the other is clean, precise, and full of complex emotion. The overall mood of the music follows suit; blue is fast, aggressive, and violent, while white is slower, more melodic, and contemplative. Something that becomes clear after a bit more time is that the former tends to depend more heavily on riffs and percussive rhythms, while the latter de-emphasizes those somewhat in favor of vocals and guitar leads (though these tendencies are by no means without exception). dimulai dengan Track Jagoan awal album ini adalah " Warning ", menawarkan konsep seperti lebih dipopulerkan oleh Nama Judas Priest, Fates Warning, hingga Crimson Glory, Permainan dan Konsep yang kian dewasa begitu terasakan sekali pada Progresi Aransemen lagunya. Karakter Vokal Geoff yang memang asli Luar biasa dan powerfully melalui Oktaf tinggi yang mulai digemari era tersebut memang menjadi icon penting perkembangan Musik Heavy Metal, dan tentunya talenta yang menjadi Faktor dominan untuk karakter skill bernyanyi dasyat seperti ini, dengan kata lain, ga semuanya deh bisa bernyanyi seperti ini, dan cukuplah bagi penikmat musik untuk mengagumi-nya hehehe .... " En Force " pada Part awalnya memang sekilas mengingatkan dengan Iron Maiden Style Part, Queensrÿche pun semakin lebih Powerfully beat pada Track ini yang dilanjut naiknya beat Musik " Deliverance ", Semakin Nuansa Kental Iron Maiden menjadi Karakter lagu ini. that chorus is one of the very few bright spots on an otherwise unremittingly dark and oppressive album, a contrast that only emphasizes the latter quality (after all, what is fear of hell without hope of heaven?). Let’s not even get into the multi-part, choir-accented tour-de-force that is the epic closer. Seriously, no one equaled Tate’s range of emotion in metal back then, and even today you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone able to pull off such variation; the man can pretty much do anything he wants to with his voice, which luckily for us is powerful and complex emotion on this album. dan " NM 156 ", On the other hand, some things have become a bit more difficult to identify. Naysayers love to claim that early Queensrÿche material is almost totally derivative Track yang banyak memang mengingatkan dengan karakter Band pendahulunya seperti Judas Priest, Diamond Head dan Deff Leppard tanpa terus menanggalkan kekuatan kuat Iron Maiden pada aransemen lagunya. Power Vokal Geoff memang tampil semakin memukau, ga heran kalau Kai Hansen dan Michael Kiske begitu terinspirasi dengan gaya vokalnya. selanjutnya Fenomenal Track terbaik sepanjang masa " Take Hold of the Flame " menjadi paling andalan untuk publikasi materi album ini dan dirilis sebagai Official Video Klip-nya. " Take Hold of the Flame " tampil dengan aransemen Ballad Heavy/Rock yang sangat menawan masih dengan kualitas vokal Prima Geoff tate melalui Part Sensasional dan Emosional Tunes. denger saja kualitas nada prima pada Chorus " From a haze came a rage of thunder / Distant signs of darkness on the way / Fading cries scream of pain and hunger / But in the night the light will guide your way " yang Range Pitch Vokal geoff sangat luar biasa terdengar kemudian disambung dengan Refrain " So take hold of the flame / Don't you see life's a game / So take hold of the flame / You've got nothing to lose, but everything to gain " dan yang memorable adalah aransemen Track ini kekuatannya lebih ditekankan pada gaya yang melodius. for instance, where Geoff Tate belts out some of the most incredible and heartfelt vocals ever to be heard in his ENTIRE musical career. Again, as I've stated previously, he sings with a lot of passion here. selanjutnya adalah " Before The Storm " menjadi Enerjik Track beat bagus, Queensrÿche semakin lebih menengahkan progres aransemen musik yang Heavy/Power/Progressive Metal sekali, terdengar pada susunan Karakter permainan drummer Scott Rockenfield lebih semakin tertantang dengan komponen Riff dinamis Gitaris Chris DeGarmo seperti juga Track " Child Of Fire " terdengar juga beberapa Melodius Solo Track Chris yang menawan. diakhiri dengan Track " Roads to Madness ", Queensrÿche menyudahi Karir pertamanya di full album Fenomenal ini. dan Queensrÿche semakin solid pada era akhir 80-an sebagai salah satu band Heavy Metal terbesar dari Amerika dengan populeritas yang kian melambung, Queensrÿche selanjutnya merilis banyak rilisan sampai hari ini dengan formasi yang cukup solid, namun sayang Vokalis Nyentrik dengan kualitas High Pitch level vokal, Geoff Tate memutuskan harus hengkang dari band yang ikut membesarkan namanya ini pasca album Terakhir " Dedicated to Chaos " tahun 2011 setelah juga pernah bikin solo album tahun 2002 lalu, sehingga Posisi Geoff saat ini terisi oleh Vokalis Crimson Glory, Todd La Torre bersama dengan masuknya gitaris baru Parker Lundgren yang pernah membantu menggarap album solonya Geoff Tate. dan hengkang-nya Geoff ini menjadi Member Orisinil Queensrÿche kedua setelah Gitaris Chris DeGarmo pasca rilis album " Hear in the Now Frontier " tahun 1997. I could go on for pages more about this album, and in fact I haven’t even delved into individual track analysis yet (suffice to say, they’re all excellent). But as with a city, I can talk about its history and culture and landmarks, but after a certain point the only thing left to do is just visit the damn place (or re-visit, as the case may be) and see it for yourself. With that impending trip in mind, I’ll just provide you with one last tidbit of information that will smooth the journey: it’s important to remember when approaching The Warning that it has a very specific mood, and as such requires a specific mood of the listener. Though dark and oppressive it isn’t really aggressive or quick at all, so if you’re looking for driving music or something to headbang to, keep looking. Though emotionally and ideologically complex it isn’t really technical or progressive, so if you want to listen to something that makes you feel smart, with time signatures and song structures like mathematical equations, pick something else. If, however, you’re in a pensive mood, ready to sit down and calmly give The Warning your full attention as it works its magic, you will be greatly rewarded.
