Taipei, Taiwan memang sering menjadi Scene yang tidak membuat Gw Fokus karena asumsi jika Scene ini mengalami perkembangan yang Lambat (Karena Gw jarang Updating disini hehehe .ed), tapi masih memiliki geliat yang bagus di Asia tenggara. mungkin kali ini 1 lagi ingin Gw kenalkan sosok Talenta dibawah Panji GREEDY BLACK HOLE (GBH) yang konsisten mengusung Typical Melodic Death Metal dengan sentuhan kental warna Metalcore yang Agresif, mengingatkan rasanya saat menikmati Karakter Arch Enemy, In Flames, Soilwork dan Sentuhan berani Progresif Riff-nya ala Dream Theatre hingga Angra mungkin. semangat membara-nya seperti kita sedang mendengarkan masa Transisi-nya Arch Enemy era vocalis Angela Gossow ke Alissa White-Gluz sekali, meski tidak melepas kekuatan pengaruh khas In Flames dan Soilwork. For the most part it's Refreshing to hear the Metal Classic songs played in a Different tune and produced in a manner that is far Cleaner. mengawali Karir pertama sejak terbentuk oleh Gitaris/Founder Kevin untuk GBH sejak 2011 silam, selang 1 tahun saja, GBH langsung menunjukkan Taring pertamanya via EP " The Root of Greed " ditahun 2012 yang 1 tahun kemudian makin dikukuhkan lewat Full album pertama " Trista ". memadukan Kompleksitas Musikal dengan sentuhan Melodius hangat, BSH mencoba terus memaparkan Eksistensi terbaiknya lewat Debut full album Independen ke-2 " Self " yang menjadi penantian romantis. dengan distorsi yang sulit terlepaskan begitu saja, Racikan Komposisi album ini akan memberi tantangan baru diantara Crosstylish persepsi yang mengingatkan nama besar Arch Enemy, In Flames atau Soilwork. bukan pekerjaan semudah membalikkan telapak tangan memang, jika tanpa disadari banyak Materi ini masih menggiring Opini ke arah tersebut sejak mendengar track awal " Of All Things Evil, You’re the Worst " setelah dimulai lebih dulu Intro " Black Tide ". Melodic Elemen dengan Modern Sound in The Vein Soilwork dan In Flames yang selanjutnya menerjang garang style Arch Enemy lewat teriakan Growling lepas vocalis Yvonne yang dipadukan beberapa Clean Vocal Sentimental melahirkan ekspetasi makin komplek jika GBH mengusung konsep yang tidak jauh dari Para pendahulu-nya. permainan Melodic Riff aktif Kevin masih memberikan Porsi kuat ditambah dengan Karakter Atmospheric gelap yang cukup memberi sentuhan lebih mencekam. Pengen mendengarkan Desahan Solo Gitar yang lebih Melodius? Kayaknya elo mesti bisa larut dalam suasana Moody Gitaris Kevin di " Euthanasia ". Melanjutkan Enerji kuat selanjutnya, " Dream On " masih senantiasa menjerumuskan Fantasi kita dengan Sajian Melodic Death Metal yang Modern. sticks to the same Uniform harsh Style and leave the Melodic material to the Guitars. Pretty much the only Surprises on here is the Greater Presence of brief instrumental Interludes, all of which are Loaded with Cliche Melodic hooks and Somber Atmospheric Elements. dan jangan lewatkan Komposisi Metallic Riff ciamik di " Before Sunset " mencoba melepas Konsentrasi Konvensional dengan Sentuhan Dramatis. meski terasa keras menghentak, sebenarnya GBH menyerang terus Feeling kita dengan Tarian Harmonius Melody lepas. dan " Don’t Know What to Say " sepertinya Konsep Ballad track ini menjadi Ending yang menyedihkan lewat slowly track, dimana kekuatan Clean Vocal Yvonne mencoba mendominasi aransemen terdengar menyedihkan juga Atmosfir yang ditawarkan-nya. pada Bagian Akhir GBH menambahkan 2 Track sebagai Bonus Track-nya " Mad Democracy " dan " Supernova ", yang lagi-lagi terus mengingatkan Gw dengan Karakter Medio Part Arch Enemy banget ( " War Eternal " atau " Burning Angel "). Meski tidak ada sesuatu yang baru untuk Gw gambarkan, setidaknya Debut gress GBH ini mampu memberi Konsentrasi Baru dengan Typical Modern Sound Ciamik yang mereka miliki. I can honestly say that this wasn't all that bad in spite of itself and what high Expectations other fans and interwebz Shit-talkers would dare thrust upon their Shoulders. While really only worth a listen or two when the itch for it hits, for straightforward melodic nastiness you can do far worse. Trust me on this Have shown that they are Talented elsewhere in the Metal Industry. I severely hope that the band can come back from such a low with their next Release.
