Toulouse, France Explosive Metallic Hardcore BLACK KNIVES (BK), Produk muda menantang yang coba memadukan progres core kompleks dari pendahulu mereka seperti Hatebreed, Terror, Walls Of Jericho, Comeback Kid, Madball, Every Time I Die, Converge, Stick To Your Guns, Lionheart, First Blood, Your Demise, Architects, Deftones, hingga Sick Of It All menjadi komposisi yang mereka yakini sebagai Explosive Biggest Pride and Attitude ! Menemukan khotbah secara terus-menerus yang mengganggu dan tidak menyenangkan pada awalnya, tapi entah bagaimana band ini malah berhasil berkhotbah dengan cara yang sederhana dan tulus yang telah memenangkan mereka di Moshpit Crowd diehard, seperti halnya Gw sendiri. Dengan kata-kata itu, ada bias yang tidak diragukan lagi dari mana Gw mendengarkan materi ini, karena BK perlahan lahan telah memiliki tempat tersendiri di hati. Meski begitu, kematangan dan penulisan lagu menjadi sesuatu yang lebih fantastis kali ini hasil tangan dingin Alan Douches (yang sukses bikin masterpiece untuk band Hatebreed, Converge, Madball, Motorhead, etc), dan pesannya tetap sama mendalamnya. " The Thirteenth Hour " I Feel may have lost a small amount of the Aggression conjured in their prior releases, but really, they've stepped perhaps one step back for several stepsforward, particularly as far as Heavy as fuck goes. karakteristik musikalnya memang luas tanpa mau terjebak dalam warna emo metal yang lebay, meski Imej fashion mereka sendiri masih kerap disandingkan dengan persepsi yang demikian rupa, apalagi ketika kalian melihat Clip lagu " Take The Best ", pada awalnya sih Gw juga sempat ragu hanya karena melihat scrinsut-nya aja, tapi begitu Gw play, Shit ! Dugaan Gw keliru, I pride myself on the combination of the metalcore genre but what happens when you take out one of the two variables in the simple formula. Yeah, is no strangers to singing choruses that will either Agonize or catch the listener off guard with it's Catchiness. With that being said no one is going to Confuse this with a pop punk album with it's Pummeling riffs and Breakingdown tempo drumming that seem straightforward.
" The Thirteenth Hour " Undoubtedly a Metalcore Album. There are fully Emotional Breakdowns in just about every one of their songs, Catchy guitar hooks and the occasional darkest chorus. track pertama " Nothing lasts forever " riff-nya cukup meragukan dengan karakter Post HC, tapi perlahan surut mereka tepis dengan hentakan Groove Breakdown dan sentuhan melodius, terdengar agak suram seperti kebanyakan aransemen yang dilahirkan oleh Every Time I Die atau Stick To Your Guns, tapi Breakdown partnya masih menyakinkan Gw serangan tune hebat ala Hatebreed atau Terror masih menjadi kontradiksi mereka. selanjutnya " Take The Best " coba memberi sengatan ringan eksekusi senyap mereka. menikmati beberapa Beatdown part, kadang ada part yang terlalu dipaksakan untuk membuat penikmatnya hanyut, meski penampilan vocalis Eric Estrade asli keren dan Powerfully. ya mungkin terlalu kompleks untuk Gw sebutkan secara garis besar disini mengingat beberapa pengaruh coba membiaskan karakter kuatnya. yang pasti perlahan saja untuk bisa mencerna konsepsional yang mereka tawarkan. Their Hardcore aspects are back, but for the first time in the band's history, it feels like they have finally decided on what type of music they want to make, and consequently, they have produced an cool album. " Our world, somewhere we belong " mengalirkan enerji yang makin powerfully dengan tatanan aransemen plus sound musik yang berat dan cepat, ingatan Gw coba meraba gaya bermainnya Hatebreed dan Walls Of Jericho, memiliki sound yang menurut Gw lebih mumpuni tetap bertahan pada karakter ini, sepertinya BK ingin lebih bereksperimen makin luas dengan beberapa warna, sehingga skip dulu menjudge BK dengan satu atau dua band deh. seperti mengingatkan kembali dengan " Short Story with Tragic Ending " nya From Autumn To Ashes, Part awal lagu " A Moving Force In The Shadow " penampilannya lebih emosional secara atmosfir komposisi, duet bareng vocalis Sam Crocker dari band Antagonist AD cukup memberikan sengatan lebih di lini vokal. meski pada beberapa kenyataan pikiran ini sering berperang dengan opini sana sini, Esensi yang BK tawarkan bisa menjadi pertimbangan kecil disaat kita menginginkan suasana baru. this downplays what very well could be a Groundbreaking metalcore release. But it’s commendable enough for the band to switch gears once having gotten to cruise control, and this record makes it clear that change was the main thing they sought. Change is what led them to write the album they needed to, and in turn, left us listeners with the album we needed to hear. " Without You ", untuk kesekian kali Attitude musikalnya bergeser lagi dari lagu sebelumnya, menambahkan elemen Rap pada beberapa chorus, BK tetap konsisten makin liar menggeber setiap kemarahannya. mengendurkan tensinya di Instrumen track " Taking Back What's Ours ", sentuhan mengganas coba menggeser persepsi warna Deathcore ganas di " Behind the doors " menjadi Track paling Gw Faforite in untuk ber-headbang ! Lionheart, First Blood, meet Your Demise ! one of the bands most memorable lines is then Enforced at the end of the chaos and re-quickens things up. This song is for the guy who loves the traditional Hardcore stance since it’s all over the place and still exhibits modern prowess. Well, kayaknya akselerasi Emosional dan Fill BK makin terasakan pada menit menit ini, dengan track " Wolf Pack " dan " Make It Happen ", kepala ini ga berhenti dibuat Headbanging ! Now there’s a lot of debate about breakdowns, and the overuse of them nowadays. I’m going to give my blurb about breakdowns. To start with, I love Breakdowns. I think it adds hooks and heaviness to hardcore; the genre would not have come as far as it has without them. There are three kinds of Breakdowns when it comes to song structure. The first kind is when you take a riff and you start it at one pace and then change the drum part to a broken down feel while the guitar is pretty much playing the same thing. Joe Kenney dari band Pay No Respect pun ga ketinggalan ikut cuap cuap di lagu " Drop The Shit " sebelum " This is only a beginning " harus mengakhiri pesta liar yang cukup berkesan selama total hampir 40 menit ini.
pada Intinya, jika Kalian tidak terlalu peduli seberapa baik sebuah lagu mengalir, dan bisa mendengarkan kerusakan yang mengerikan, maka beli rekaman ini. Lagu-lagunya hadir dengan riff bagus meski masih terdengar simple, dan tepat saat Kalian berpikir " lagu ini punya potensi ", mereka akan menghentikan semuanya dan melakukan Breakdown lainnya. secara keseluruhan BK tidak menawarkan sesuatu yang baru atau konsisten, mungkin karena secara musikal ini masih menjadi perpaduan beberapa konsep yang ada, dan beberapa part coba mengingatkan dengan beberapa fill terpopuler. namun yang menjadi paling menantang adalah, bagaimana BK memberi santapan Moshpit tetap panas dari awal hingga akhir. Hopefully in the future this band can focus more on the song as a whole, and use breakdowns more sparringly. This band is not without potential, but their current formula just makes this stuff close to impossible to sit through. I'm still giving this a " 8 " because the mojority of these songs are unbearably predictable and oversaturated with breakdowns, enough so to make a breakdown enthusiast such as my self sick of hearing them.
