Hal ini oleh beberapa pengamat disebabkan oleh pergantian Vokalis Sylvain Houde yang cabut tahun 1998 pasca dirilis album " Victims of this Fallen World " dan Posisinya sendiri digantikan oleh Maurizio Iacono yang harus menanggalkan Posisi Bass bermigrasi posisi Vokal dan lahirlah karakteristik Kataklysm yang berbeda dari sebelumnya, nah seperti album baru itu masih mengalami sesuatu hal yang serupa dengan materi sebelumnya macam album " Prevail " hingga " The Prophecy (Stigmata of the Immaculate) ". so sepertinya masih belum bakalan elo temuin hal yang terlalu istimewa dari yang elo harapkan selain sebagai Part2 lanjutan album sebelumnya. entah sampai kapan Frontman /Gitaris Jean-François Dagenais bakalan memutuskan akan kembali lagi ke Materi era " Temple of Knowledge (Kataklysm Part III) "?? Kekuatan Album ini juga mendapatkan perhatian yang sama dengan materi Sideproject band seperti Ex Deo, ya Ex Deo = Kataklysm itu adalah kesimpulan baru!. ada 10 lagu yang mereka geber selama 46:38 dengan nuansa yang lebih ke Avantgarde hingga atmospheric pada beberapa Struktur harmonisasi-nya yang tetep terbalut dengan Hentakan Hypersnare Khas Drummer Max Duhamel ( masih Inget khan?? dengan Hypersnare, Max Duhamel tetep menghentakkan satu pukulan Bass drumnya secara Teratur ), permainan Gitaris Jean-François Dagenais tetep melahirkan Nuansa yang Gelap plus Putus asa tergambar jelas dalam harmonisasi Riff-nya. sepertinya tema Kolosal peperangan Kuno lebih tepat mereka sadur Tema-nya dalam Konsep Kataklysm Hari ini yang Vokalis Maurizio Iacono banyak menulisnya kembali tentang Hal2 berbau Mistis. " A Soulless God " menjadi track yang lumayan cocok untuk membuka serangan Kataklysm dialbum ini, walo sebelumnya lagu " Determined (Vows Of Vengeance) " diunggulkan dalam Album ini malah menjadi Track ke-2. dan lagi Editor majalah terkenal seperti Mitch Joel (Circus Magazine/Hour/Revolver online) pun mengatakan konsep kataklysm sekarang ga lebih perpaduan antara In Flames dengan Lagu2 lama Judas Priest dalam sebuah Review saat pertama kali mendengarkan album ini. mungkin keinginan awal konsep Kataklysm sekarang adalah kembali ke era album " sorcery ", namun terlalu banyak sentuhan elemen Doom serta gloom sangat membatasi segalanya. well secara keseluruhan lagi(lagi) materi ini buat Fans Kataklysm Pasca Album " Victims of this Fallen World " saja dan BUKAN untuk penggemar Era " Temple of Knowledge (Kataklysm Part III) ", or Btw elo masih penggemar Musik2 Cadas-nya Kataklysm ??
