Tentunya elo udah begitu mengenal mereka dialbum2 sebelumnya yang memainkan Melodic Death Metal ala Gothenburg sound, padahal mereka sendiri berasal dari Tampa, Florida. permainan Mereka kali ini memang langsung mengingatkan gw akan Dark Tranquility Era " Character " bangetz!, 5 gerombolan manusia ini mencoba kembali kemampuan drummer Jeramie Kling yang udah banyak menempa skill-nya diband Infernaeon & Ninety Minute Reflex untuk menggantikan Drummer sekaligus Frontman Justin Reynolds yang harus cabut tahun 2010 kemaren setelah mengalami cedera serius dalam sebuah Kecelakaan Mobil, yang Drastis Justin Reynolds udah ga bisa bersama band ini lagi padahal masih tahap penggarapan materi CD ini. masih mengulang karakter sukses Era Riders of the Plague ( 2007 ) dan From Your Grave ( 2005 ), The Absence masih Konsis memainkan gaya bermainnya Dark Tranquility hingga At The Gates secara enerjik. menjadi lebih matang serta dinamis permainan yang dimainkan dengan produksi sound yang Profesional sehingga ga perlu mendapat komentar apalagi dengan 2 album mereka sebelumnya. so buat elo penggemar Berat Dark Tranquility, In Flames Serta At The Gates, pasti gw jamin bakalan menyukai lagu2 The Absence, apalagi mereka juga memiliki Solo Gitar part yang Ciamik !!
